The House of Honey

The House of Honey is located in Swan Valley and offers a selection of honey with various flavours, including lavender, cinnamon and truffle. The variety is quite broad and if you visit their shop, you get to taste each different honey. This allows you to find out which one suits you more. They also supply different honey products such as beauty products, confectionary and drinks.

So far, I have tried the jarrah, cinnamon and lavender. They all taste really nice.  Flavour of each is so delicate and sweet. There is also an apple cider vinegar honey which offers a sharp taste on the first sip, but is said to help with digestion.

Since winter is coming, I will be drinking lot of honey to keep me warm. It also is a great prevention against cold and sore throat.

Honey Joys

Alright be prepared for a massive posting about right now (that is, starting from this post). Yes, I mean it. I'm definitely catching up on all my due posts because nothing's worst than leaving this year's cooking to 2014. Right. Also since it's Summer Solstice today, the longest night of the year, there are no excuses. Bring it on. To begin with I'm posting on a few sweet treats, starting with some honey joys. I discover these from my volunteer trip to Busselton last October and enjoyed it so much. I looked up for the recipe (didn't even know what they were called- I happen to search for honey bites - good to know I was not far from its true name) only to realise that not only is it so easy to make, but quite popular as well. Hard to believe that I only tried it there for the first time, just to emphasise on how much there is to yet explore and experience. So like I just mentioned these honey joys are super sweet and tasty and so perfect for snack times.

Sesame honey chicken

This has been on my list for a long time. Okay not so much. Since it hit my mind and I saw the recipe last week. hehehe. To be honest, I would never have gone for such recipe because personally I am not so fond of deep frying. Mind me, I am in the progress side as far as this is concern. Another resolution about overcoming your fears and/or doubts. The recipe I found looked quite simple, so I was up for it.
Result was alright. I alternate a little here and there. I mean for a first time and all, it was good.
