Throwback to Good Food and Wine Show 2015

We managed to get tickets to the Good Food and Wine show 2015, which was held on the 11th and 12th of July this year. It was my first time attending this show and it was quite a great experience. There were lots of food and wine tasting. There was quite a crowd as well.
I got to see many celebrity chefs, including Adam Liaw (learned a lot from the food demo), Alastair McLeod (one of my favourite chefs on Ready Steady Cook), Miguel Maestre (so excited to see him in person),  Anna Gare (I haven't heard from her before, but it seems she is quite popular as well, loved her demo), George Calombaris (so explicit in his cooking instructions, very funny when he asked the audience about who is our favourite's masterchef for the season, as the show was still on air at that time) and Eva & Deb from My Kitchen Rules. I also got a cookbook signed by Adam Liaw and a photo with him, so happy.
The food demos were great, but I had to attend on both days to get a chance at viewing all demos. On Saturday, I watched Miguel, Adam, and Eva & Deb and on Sunday, George and Anna. These were the best part of the show- to see live cooking. I also tasted several food items, such as yogurt, ice cream, cakes, cheese, chicken, to mention a few. The place was packed with food stalls and choices. For lunch on Saturday, we bought some burger, and quesadillas from Merry Well's food truck. I also had some cheesy puff and bought some macarons. On Sunday, I tried my first arancini balls for the first time and it was just the way I expected it to taste: crunchy on the outside and soft in the inside with a gooey filling. I must say that still, some stalls were selling their food at some unreasonably high prices. There was also an instant photo booth sponsored by Kleenheat Gas which was quite fun, with some random oversized food items and utensils props to choose from and hold when taking the photo.
Overall, it was a weekend well spent. I would definitely just attend to watch the cooking demos and get the opportunity to meet some well-known chefs.
